In 2015, the world marked the 750th Anniversary of Dante’s birth. This class will be an introduction to Dante, his life and his works.  Greg will discuss Dante’s poetic work, The Divine Comedy, which is filled with imaginative and moral vision and is considered one of the greatest works of world literature.  Greg will also explore the history, theology, politics, and the papacy’s role in Dante’s time during the middle ages.  Join us and celebrate the most widely read poem ever written in Western Civilization… a celebration of love, a hymn to love.  CFD:  Spirituality  ($10 donation per session requested)

Greg Carnevale was the founding teacher of City High School, a GR Community College instructor, and was an  Associate Professor of Classics at Aquinas College before his retirement.
