An Ecumenical and Community Wide Event
With guest speaker, Pastor LeRae Kuperus
(RSVP by November 23) Zoom Presentation
How will we celebrate the Advent and Christmas season when the world is holding its breath? Festive events and traditions with family and friends are called into question. We want to be filled with joy and we hope to find peace and rest, yet emptiness, anxiety, worry and loneliness are ever present realities. Over 2000 years ago, Immanuel—God with us—transformed the world, breaking through darkness. As we enter an unprecedented holiday season, this familiar Advent word, Immanuel, takes on a deeper meaning.
Join LeRae Kuperus as she presents on finding Immanuel in our own hearts first, in gifting ourselves with self-care, and in loving others with a heart of fullness. LeRae will interweave stories from her experiences as a Chaplain and encourage us to keep our hearts malleable—open to moments when the power of Immanuel breaks through and reminds us that Jesus believes in us. CFD: Spirituality ($10 donation suggested)
