Creating a Prayer Garden

Sr. Damien Marie Savino, SFE, Dean of Science and Sustainability at Aquinas College, discussed creating a sacred space for prayer in our gardens, on our decks or inside our homes. She focused on Marian Gardens and discussed the spiritual symbolism and legends of Marian flowers…the Marigold, Violets, Carnations, Columbine, Snowdrops, and Jerusalem Cowslip just to name a few.  Participants then painted a scripture stone to take with them to begin creating their sacred space.
