55Plus – Faithful Citizenship: After the Election

November 12 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Participate in-person or online
Suggested Donation: $15 – $25

Our call as Christians is to live out our faith in the public square, especially after an election. Drawing from the rich tradition of Catholic social teaching, we will explore how to engage in legislative advocacy, to promote policy changes that respect life, support children and families, protect the environment, and promote justice. Learn how to effectively communicate with legislators and remain involved in the democratic process with faith, hope, and charity as your guiding principles.

This presentation is part of the 55 Plus Series, exploring spirituality and vitality in the second half of life. People of any age are welcome to attend.

Panelists: Paul Stankewitz, legislative advocate for Michigan Catholic Conference and Allison McCulley, coordinator for Together West Michigan.
