An invitation to enter more deeply into the Easter Mysteries through peaceful, prayerful engagement with art. This guided contemplative prayer will focus on the universal and personal meaning of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection through the painting and sculpture of local artist and teacher James Wisnewski. CFD: Spirituality ($10 donation per session requested.)
Rilma Fix received her spiritual formation at Dominican Center/Marywood. She has facilitated programs in spirituality at local parishes including St. Robert in Ada and St. Luke in Allendale.
James Wisnewski taught for four decades at Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School. His series of 28 paintings entitled “The Way of the Cross” were displayed at St. Mark Episcopal Church during the inaugural ArtPrize in 2009.
